Biography Wayne Morse has a diverse complex civil litigation practice in which he appears for clients in federal and state courts throughout the Southeast, at both the trial and appellate levels, as well as in arbitrations. Since 1976, Mr. Morse has represented a wide variety of clients, both corporate and individual, from financial institutions to law firms, from fired local government employees to persons involved in will contests, from business executives involved in employment disputes to hospitals investigating gender harassment. The cases he has handled cover a wide range of subject matters, including, but not limited to, fraud, insurance coverage, bad faith denial of insurance claims, federal and state employment matters, RICO, civil rights violations, legal malpractice, personal injury and antitrust.
Although Mr. Morse purposefully has not specialized or limited his practice, he has spent considerable time focusing on insurance, civil rights and employment litigation. He represented the City of Tarrant, Alabama before the United States Supreme Court in an important civil rights case. Mr. Morse has extensive experience representing clients in numerous Title VII, age and disability discrimination, Family Medical Leave Act, and ERISA cases.
Mr. Morse is a lecturer at continuing professional programs, politically active, a member of numerous civic and religious organizations, including the American Inns of Court, Birmingham, and Rotary Club of Birmingham, and serves on Bar Association committees. He is a director and officer of the law firm.
